What makes NACAT Conference unique?
Valve cover races
Competition? One of NACAT’s annual traditions is to hold a valve cover race. You can bring your own valve cover car or just watch! We have both a USA and Canadian bracket, with the winner of each bracket running head-to-head for the overall winner. This year our valve cover race will be included in the attendee and guest program package and held on Tuesday, July 11 after the exhibitor trade show. Dinner is included and have a few surprises planned. Don't miss out - it will be a fun event!
Support the industry
Our Silent Auction Fundraiser takes place during the conference and all proceeds support future automotive scholarships. Auction items include gift cards, baskets varieties (city baskets, movie baskets, alcohol baskets, etc), and sometimes even a valve cover race car! This year the bidding for our Silent Auction will take place online.
How to teach and resources to support you
Most instructors know the automotive concepts and can get technical training virtually anywhere, but what about learning strategies to teach the material? This is where the NACAT Conference stands out from all other conferences and associations. The 2023 NACAT Conference has several sessions on how to teach certain material, resources for evaluating students, roundtable sessions to share ideas and experiences from other educations, and much, much more!
Family friendly
During July, most instructors are off for the summer and wanting to spend time with their family. This is exactly why we make sure to include your family during our conference! Our Families of NACAT Committee planned events each day of the conference to enjoy the Houston area.

Join us Monday, July 10th for our Opening General Session and keynote on "What I Learned During 50 Years of Teaching: "A comical look at situations that shaped how I work in schools with students"!
