Northwood University's International Auto Show to host SEMA Sept. 26-27

At this year’s show, SEMA will be presenting an exclusive program to Northwood students, staff, faculty and alumni on Thursday, September 26, and Friday, September 27, in Griswold Lecture Hall.

Northwood University's 50th Annual International Auto Show is set for the weekend of September 27, 28 and 29. At this year's show, the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association (SEMA) will be presenting an exclusive program to Northwood students, staff, faculty and alumni on Thursday, September 26, and Friday, September 27, in Griswold Lecture Hall.

On Thursday, September 26, SEMA will host a career paths program exclusively for students and faculty of Northwood University that will feature an industry panel who will share personal stories and experiences about their career journey, hiring best practices and expectations, and the diverse types of careers available in the aftermarket industry. The panel will be moderated by SEMA's Director of Education, Zane Clark, and the panelists include John McLeod of Classic Instruments, Bill North of Katzkin, Travis Huisman of Team Detroit, Chris Charlton of Auto Interior Decorators Inc., and Jeff Varick of Brandmotion.

After Friday's VIP Panel featuring Christopher Kersting, president and CEO of SEMA, there will be a presentation for students, staff, faculty and alumni by renowned speaker and sales coach, Marc Wayshak. The topic will be "Championship Selling in the New Economy" and will focus on the effect of the internet and technology on the current sales environment and how it has changed everything from sales prospects to salespeople. Wayshak will also discuss how this new environment creates tremendous opportunity for those with the right strategy.
