Schaeffler announced the launch of its new technical and training website for the North American aftermarket at AAPEX 2015.

Schaeffler announced the launch of its new technical and training website for the North American aftermarket at AAPEX 2015. Urs Stuckenbruck, Director Product Management and Marketing, North America for Schaeffler Group USA introduced Schaeffler Group and explained why Schaeffler is an ideal strategic partner for the automotive aftermarket through its global manufacturing and distribution facilities, comprehensive in-vehicle presence through the LuK, INA and FAG product lines and research and development teams.

Stuckenbruck explained Schaeffler’s decision to develop a global service brand in light of the market demand and Schaeffler’s product and service offerings. Stuckenbruck introduces the services and programs that are included in the REPXPERT service brand, including the cornerstone of the brand: REPXPERT 2.0, Schaeffler’s new online training and technical website.

"We are proud to launch REPXPERT, the training and technical website for the North American automotive aftermarket at this year’s AAPEX," says Stuckenbruck. "Schaeffler strongly believes a direct connection between suppliers and professional installers is the most important means of providing on-the-job support. Through REPXPERT, we take our service and support commitment to the next level: by delivering necessary diagnostic, product, and repair information direct to distributors, counter personnel, and installers all in one convenient location."

Judy Love, marketing manager North America for Schaeffler Group USA, introduced REPXPERT 2.0 and explained what sets the website apart from other technical and training sites available. According to Love, the user-friendly, modular-based site brings the entire portfolio of product information, technical training and support, as well as installation and diagnostic materials together in one location. Designed with the customer in mind, Schaeffler features the option to request customized in-person technical training for distributors and stores or installers. From the beginner to advanced, REPXPERT offers job-relevant technical training on new and innovative products, according to the company,: such as the Ford Double Clutch by LuK and the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Wheel Bearing Repair by FAG.

Love also reviewed the development plan for the next 24-months to expand the modules and content available on the North American website. Keeping the customer as the priority, French and Spanish translations of all site content will be available in early 2016. Registered users will be able to connect with Schaeffler experts on a personal level through the soon to be released online chat and community forums. Quarterly e-Newsletters will keep users up to date with new releases, first to market product information and announcements and sales promotions. Market-specific content is currently under development for the REPXPERT.MX website dedicated to the Mexico aftermarket which is scheduled to launch in late 2016.

The program is available in both Canada and the United States as of October 1st. Automotive professionals can register at repxpert.us or repxpert.ca to experience the services and materials the website offers.
