Replacing Genesis thermostat

Certain 2018 Genesis G80 vehicles equipped with a 3.3Y or 3.8L engine and built before Aug. 30, 2017, and 2017-2018 G90 vehicles equipped with a 3.3T engine and built before Aug. 30, 2017, may experience a DTC P0597 (thermostat heater control circuit/open).

Certain 2018 Genesis G80 vehicles equipped with a 3.3Y or 3.8L engine and built before Aug. 30, 2017, and 2017-2018 G90 vehicles equipped with a 3.3T engine and built before Aug. 30, 2017, may experience a DTC P0597 (thermostat heater control circuit/open).

To replace the thermostat, make sure that the new part has a newer lot date than July 20, 2017. A blue marking will indicate lot date placement. Using GDS, check for codes and clear after replacement.
